Fashion Forecast: Top 4 Fashion Trends for 2015.

1. Merging of Fashion and Sportswear
Health and wellness has expanded from its traditional categories to become mainstream, moving into beauty, fashion, wearable technology and activewear. This trend is set to continue strongly in 2015 across all demographics. "Casual fashion," one of the buzzwords of 2015, describes the merging of fashion and sportswear, and the partnership between designer Stella McCartney and Adidas is an example of how fashion has embraced health and wellness.
"Fitness is art, and together, our marriage of movement, performance and fashion will create a new standard," said Nicole Winhoffer, the face of the collection.

2. Online Shop Window
Another emerging trend in 2015 is the value top retailers around the world are now placing on their online shop windows. Wendy Liebmann, chief executive officer of WSL Strategic Retail, is currently one of the top voices in retail and fashion. In her recent report "Trends From the Edge," featured in Forbes, she examines how retailers such as Costco, Crate & Barrel and Bloomingdale's are focusing on the online experience for customers. Alibaba, China's biggest online retailer, is also tipped to enter the U.S. market.

3. Head-to-Toe White
Color is never off the agenda in fashion merchandising and forecasting, and it's white all the way for 2015. From mixed textures to layering and the wearing of different shades of white, the color will be seen everywhere this year. This trend was already apparent at the Golden Globe Awards in January, when Hollywood stars showed off their designers' take on it, and the rest of the fashion world is looking to follow.

4. One-Shoulder Cuts
One of the most wearable fashion trends for 2015 is the one-shoulder cut, as shown across various spring and summer collections such as those from Ralph Lauren and Jill Stuart. This edgy look is set to stay throughout the year.
If you're a student of fashion forecasting and consumer behavior, embrace these trends and stay fashion forward for 2015...
